  2. Show video: What is Gratitude? by Learning Mole (35 seconds).
  3. Give an example of gratitude (e.g., I am grateful that I had food to eat this morning.)

    a. I don't have anything good in my life.
    b. I do not know of anything I like.
    c. I can think of good things in my life, like being able to learn at school.
  5. Ask students to draw a picture on their worksheet of how they have shown gratitude

  7. Today we will make a class gratitude tree. Draw a large picture of a tree either on a poster board or a roll of paper and tape it to the chalkboard.
  8. Ask each student to draw a picture of a leaf on their construction paper. Show them an example of a leaf you made that they can use as a model.
